That’s why we recently completed a major upgrade to our in-house audio system, designed and installed by StarSound Audio of Reno, to deliver clearer, more powerful, and more consistent sound for every show that hits our stage.
Whether you’re right up front or hanging back near the bar, this new system was built to make every seat sound like the sweet spot.
What’s New?
The upgraded system centers around JBL Professional’s VTX A-Series, a touring-grade line array platform trusted by major venues and production companies worldwide. At Cargo, this means tighter coverage, improved clarity, and a system that can handle everything from bass-heavy electronic acts to full live bands without compromise.
Key components of the upgrade include:
- JBL VTX A8 Line Array Loudspeakers
Compact, high-performance line array cabinets designed for small-to-mid-size venues. These provide consistent horizontal coverage and detailed, balanced sound throughout the room. - JBL VTX B28 Dual 18” Subwoofers
Serious low-end power. These subs deliver deep, controlled bass that you feel just as much as you hear — without overwhelming the mix. - Crown I-Tech HD Series Amplification
Industry-leading touring amplifiers power the entire system, providing clean headroom, advanced processing, and rock-solid reliability night after night. - Midas DL231 Active Microphone Splitters
A pro-level signal infrastructure upgrade that improves flexibility and consistency for visiting engineers and touring acts.
Every component was selected to work together as a cohesive system, ensuring predictable performance, faster load-ins, and a better experience for artists and engineers alike.
